See How I Edit
What I loved to write was often very different from what I loved to edit. That didn’t mean I lacked opinions—far from it. I’ve always enjoyed discussing craft at a granular level: character, pacing, stakes, tension, dialogue, attribution, and the underlying question of what a piece is really about. Put me in a room with writers, and I could talk for days.
My editorial work, however, focused primarily on businesses and corporate professionals. With a background in business, I worked on job descriptions, handbooks, financial reports, and marketing materials. I participated in investor meetings, helped shape messaging, and interviewed dozens of job applicants across industries.
That experience reinforced something simple but essential: what you say—and how you present it—matters. First impressions matter. And clarity, down to the smallest details, is never optional.
